National Trust Easter Events in Somerset 2025

Some of the best things to do at Easter with kids can be found at a National Trust property. The National Trust are offering an Easter Trail at most of their locations across the county. Our favourite properties are Tyntesfield in North Somerset and Stourhead on the Wiltshire/Somerset border. There is always lots to explore and you can make a day of it. Check out the list below for what’s on at your local National Trust property. Normal N.T. admission prices apply and booking is not needed for the Easter trails.

Pop on your bunny ears, follow the eggs and hop around Tyntesfield to find 10 egg-citing Easter activities  and take part in the fun and games. £3.50 per trail map with bunny ears and edible prize at the end. Collect maps from the gazebo by the cafe.

Dunster Castle Easter Adventure Trail

Saturday 5th April to Sunday 27th April 2025.  10.00 – 16.00.  £3.50 per Trail with a chocolate egg prize at the end.

Easter Egg Hunt at Barrington Court

Saturday 5th April to Monday 21st April 2025.  10.00 – 16.00. £3.50 per child and includes an activity booklet and a chocolate egg at the end.

Join in the Easter fun this spring with the family-friendly Easter trail. Explore the gardens and grounds at Barrington Court this Easter and learn about the plants, flowers, bugs and bees which grow and live there. There will be ten activities to find across the estate before claiming your tasty prize. 

National Trust Easter Egg Hunt at Lytes Cary Manor

Saturday 5th April to Sunday 27th April 2025. 10.00 – 5.00 (last entry 3.30 pm). Trail is £3.50 per child and includes a trail map and chocolate egg at the end.

Make your way around the trail and find Easter inspired activities for the whole family. Explore the beautiful estate of Lytes Cary Manor along the way.

Easter Egg Hunt at Prior Park

Thursday 17th April to 21st April 2025, from 10am to 5pm, with last entry at 4pm. Trail cards are £3.50 per child which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From* chocolate egg.

Follow the trail and find ten nature-inspired activities for the whole family. Bring your friends for a fun wheelbarrow race, test your skills in the egg and spoon race, and decorate an egg for your Easter tree. Complete all activities to claim your Easter egg prize at the end.

Easter Egg Hunt at Montacute House

Saturday 5th April to Wednesday 23rd April 2025, 10.00-16.00.  £3.50 per trail.

Join the family-friendly trail and discover ten fun Spring and Easter activity themed points around the gardens. Complete the trail and earn a chocolate egg at the end.

Easter Adventures for kids at Fyne Court

Saturday 5th April – Monday 21st April 2025. 10.00 – 15.00.

  • £3.50 per Easter trail.

Find the Easter markers in the woodland of Fyne Court, which have fun forest activities getting you close to nature and active in the outdoors. Crack the clues as you make your way around the trail and you’ll be rewarded with a chocolate egg at the end.

Spring-themed craft activities will be running alongside the trail in the music hall.

There are a whole schedule of Easter activities during the Easter holidays for children at Somerset rural Life Museum. Enjoy family friendly activities including an egg hunt (£1), meet the bunnies and arts and crafts.

  • Wednesday 16th April – Meet birds of prey and see the eggs they hatch from. Enjoy a simple owl craft activity.
  • Friday 18 April – Toast hot cross buns on the fire for Good Friday.
  • Sunday 20th and Monday 21st April Easter Egg Hunt – Join for an egg hunt in the orchard (or in the barn if its wet!).  Make a bag for your chocolate eggs, then when the whistle goes, see how many eggs you can find! Egg hunts start at 12.00 pm, 2.00 pm and 3.30 pm.

These events or exhibitions are FREE with the Museum Unlimited Annual Pass, which means you pay once and it’s free for the rest of the year.

Things to do over Easter at Farrington’s Farm

Main Street, Farrington Gurney, Bristol, BS39 6UB.

Meet the farm animals, jump into the straw pool (Opening on Good Friday), have fun in the play barn (fees apply), have afternoon tea with an Easter themed twist or an Easter Sunday roast. They will also be serving up seasonal hot drinks with an Easter twist. Try an Easter egg hot chocolate or a Bunnycino for the little ones!

Big Easter Event at Wookey Hole Caves

Saturday 5th April – Monday 21st April 2025. 0930 – 1730 (last admission at 1600).

Join in with an Easter egg hunt around the park. The witch loves to celebrate Easter at Wookey Hole. Every child will take home an Easter treat (included with usual admission prices). There are three circus shows a day as well as adventure golf, a 4D cinema and the caves to explore.

Bring your little ones along to an adventure in nature at Yeovil Country Park by taking part in the much-loved Spring Trail event. 

Collect a trail sheet from the Friends of Yeovil Country Park gazebo outside Ninesprings Café any time between 11:00am and 14:00pm.

Make your way along the trail and find hidden letters at marked nature-inspired points dotted along the route. Discover the wonders of Springtime in beautiful surroundings, have fun and collect your chocolate egg at the end.

Entry is £2 per child. The trail will take approximately 45 minutes to complete.
